I was on the fence regarding photography being art as a pure art form. I, however, have committed to the fact that a well planned or a spontaneous photographic shot can be artistic in a variety of ways. One can be the setup such as a pose by a creative and authentic subject. The post production processes can create another effect. The work of Lee Miller at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is a great example of photographic art. There is an artist on www.findartbuyart.com that meets the artistic requirement.

My subject this week is Rand. He has created a compelling variety of photographic techniques that intrigue and fascinate. Check his work on www.findartbuyart.com. His avocation is as a roadie for various shows in and about the city of Philadelphia. In this capacity, he occasionally takes photos that cause the viewer to sit up and take notice. Check his work and give me your opinion.

Also, look for some changes to Find Art Buy Art in the coming months. Several artists have made some suggestions for improvements and modifications. We have listened and are working on some features that will make the site more fun and interactive. It may also make the artists some more money. (We certainly hope so)
